“In my opinion, this inn's prime location-near the railway and bus stations, overlooking Spinnaker Tower, and a walk from Gunwharf Keys and the Historic Dockyard-is a definite asset; the friendly staff adds to its appeal. While some rooms are basic and noise can be a factor, the value and excellent shower make it a reasonable choice for budget-conscious travellers. I think its unpretentious charm and loyal pub downstairs provide a taste of local Portsmouth life.”

convenient location near the harbour

the location was super handy for exploring! it's right by the waterfront and really close to the bus station. i also loved that the train station and ferry to the isle of wight were just across the street. there was even a co-op store next door, made grabbing snacks easy.
i had a bit of trouble with check-in, i had to go to the keppel's head hotel a few doors down. it wasn't a huge deal, but it wasn't super clear at first.

staff were helpful and friendly, especially molly, she was super nice and really assisted me! they ensured that the space was well kept and clean.

The location is very convenient, directly across from the train station. A co-op store is located conveniently next door. I found a traditional-style bar downstairs offering late drinks at the nearby hotel for residents. The breakfast and lunch MEALS were also good.
Check-in took place at a sister hotel. There was a wait before i was acknowledged.

The room included tea and coffee making supplies for convenience. A television was also present, alongside a table and chairs. I appreciated the clean room and a comfortably sized ensuite bathroom.

The hotel sits right on the waterfront. I found it directly opposite the bus station. The Portsmouth Harbour train is nearby, as is the Spinnaker Tower.

The location suited my needs adequately.
The check-in process at the hotel next door seemed disorganized. The room lacked bedside lamps, so I had to get out of bed to turn off the main light. I found it somewhat noisy in the evenings with just a ceiling light.
